Car prices including and excluding VAT
When a car page shows two prices, check which amount is presented as the main price and what your offer includes. Confirm the final payable amount and invoice arrangements with CarOutlet before purchasing.
What net and gross mean
Net means excluding VAT; gross means including VAT. When the source provides a separate net amount, CarOutlet displays it as the main price with an explicit “excl. VAT” label and shows the gross amount alongside it. If no separate net amount is available, we display the listing price without calculating one using an assumed rate.
Comparing prices in the catalogue
Price filters and sorting use known net prices excluding VAT. Cars without a separate net price are excluded when a price range is set. When comparing cards, check the VAT label and gross price too. A net amount alone does not establish what a particular buyer must pay; ask for an offer for your purchase arrangements.
What to confirm before payment
Provide your buyer details and tell the team where you intend to use or register the car. Ask for written confirmation of the final payable amount, the VAT treatment on the invoice, payment timing and the recipient’s bank details. An “excl. VAT” label does not by itself confirm that you can purchase the car for the net amount.
Delivery and other costs
Agree separately on the cost of delivery and any other services you need. Check what is included in the offer and what must be paid in addition. To obtain a transport quote, provide the car’s location and delivery address. This lets you compare the total planned budget rather than only the amount shown in the listing.
